Very clever and thought provoking short animation.

Brown Bear Cartoon
Brown Bear Cartoon recreated from the guide in 25 Quick Cartoon Characters.
The Bear by Robert Frost
The bear puts both arms around the tree above her
And draws it down as if it were a lover
And its choke cherries lips to kiss good-bye,
Then lets it snap back upright in the sky.
Her next step rocks a boulder on the wall
(She's making her cross-country in the fall).
Her great weight creaks the barbed-wire in its staples
As she flings over and off down through the maples,
Leaving on one wire moth a lock of hair.
Such is the uncaged progress of the bear.
The world has room to make a bear feel free;
The universe seems cramped to you and me.
Man acts more like the poor bear in a cage
That all day fights a nervous inward rage~
His mood rejecting all his mind suggests.
He paces back and forth and never rests
The me-nail click and shuffle of his feet,
The telescope at one end of his beat~
And at the other end the microscope,
Two instruments of nearly equal hope,
And in conjunction giving quite a spread.
Or if he rests from scientific tread,
'Tis only to sit back and sway his head
Through ninety odd degrees of arc, it seems,
Between two metaphysical extremes.
He sits back on his fundamental butt
With lifted snout and eyes (if any) shut,
(lie almost looks religious but he's not),
And back and forth he sways from cheek to cheek,
At one extreme agreeing with one Greek~
At the other agreeing with another Greek
Which may be thought, but only so to speak.
A baggy figure, equally pathetic
When sedentary and when peripatetic.

Beaver cartoon
My rendition of the beaver cartoon from page 21 of 25 Quick Cartoon Characters.
Beavers in the Bathroom by Emily Wimetal
There are beavers in the bathroom
swimming circles in the tub
where the beavers have decided
to convene their swimming club.
In their little beaver Speedos
and their beaver bathing caps,
they've been splashing rather happily
while practicing their laps.
They've been studying the butterfly,
the backstroke and the crawl,
and it's obvious they like it
and they're having quite a ball.
For we hear them all the time
but we don't see them anymore,
ever since they built a beaver dam
behind the bathroom door.

Perky Penguin cartoon
Perky Penguin reproduced in Affinity Designer from 25 Quick Cartoon Characters by Christopher Hart. Still 7 characters left to try from this excellent little book, and whilst I want to move on, I am going to force myself to complete the rest of them.
Baby Chick cartoon
I feel as though I am just scratching the surface in learning both affinity designer and cartooning, but I feel it worth while taking time on the basics to move along at a steady learning speed.
The funny side
"I just found out I'm colourblind. It came completely out of the purple."
..ooOOoo..
"White collar. blue collar. Makes no difference to me 'cos I'm collar-blind."

Get the colour code of any pixel on the screen
Instant Eyedropper is a really invaluable time saving tool which will get the colour value of any pixel on the screen then copy it's hex code to the clipboard which can then be pasted into your graphics program or document. A brilliantly simple, fantastic resource. Well done to the developers.

Cute Kitty created in Affinity Designer
Cute Kitty created from guide on page 18 of 25 Quick Cartoon Characters. Created in Affinity Designer. Makes me think of Sheldon's Kitty song from The Big Bang Theory.
Soft kitty,
warm kitty
Little ball of fur
Happy kitty,
sleepy kitty
Purr, purr, purr
