Another video from Tomska

And one from Masterjdiaz.

Thursday Funny; on a Wednesday

Today we have a video from Tomska. This is totally funny.

"This must be Thursday. I could never get the hang of Thursdays." - Douglas Adams

Just like the inside of my head...

Well done Cyriak for this creation. For some awful reason I have an affinity to this video and feel really at one with it.

Memories, which for better or worse, never fade.

For the Fallen

Poem by Robert Laurence Binyon (1869-1943), published in The Times newspaper on 21st September 1914.

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres.
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam.

But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain,
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.

Robert Laurence Binyon, by artist William Strang.

Scruffy Dog adapted in Affinity Designer

This is my adaption of "Scruffy Dog" from "25 Quick Cartoon Characters", created in Affinity Designer. I've only learnt the basics of Affinity Designer at the moment, and could probably create better in Inkscape, but I must persevere.

The Chickening by Nick DenBoer

Really, really laughed at some of this. Definitely for fans of Stephen King's, The Shining.

Eh Enders by osymyso

Another oh so funny video. Exactly what YouTube was made for.

Cycles by Cyriak

This guy is so talented and wacky. I really don't know where he gets his ideas from.

Another Swedemason youtube video - Once in a Lifetime.

Trump in place of the Talking Heads. I love it.

Paul McCartney Rabbit Hole by Swedemason

I think this production is so clever on so many levels. Thanks Swedemason. Enjoy!

Colour Blindness Test

There are various colour blindness tests out there, but here is a link to the Enchroma test.

I just took the test myself and my result showed as Moderate Protan. From the result:
  • Protans are people with protanomaly, a type of red-green color blindness in which the red cones do not detect enough red and are too sensitive to greens, yellows, and oranges. As a result, greens, yellows, oranges, reds, and browns may appear similar, especially in low light. It can also be difficult to tell the difference between blues and purples, or pinks and grays.
Apparently, according to the site, Enchroma glasses "may" help me with my colour vision. A quick look at the prices and I am talking a minimum of £333 for a pair. Hmmm..... Think I'll wait to see if they ever become available on the NHS.
